I have installed a wiki at http://wt8008.blogsite.com/wiki. There is nothing there right now, maybe I’ll think of something useful for it like to document what I do on linux, so the next time I format, I can remember how to rebuild my system. 😛 Yeah right… like I’m going to spend the time to document everything…

EDIT: Oh yeah my birthday is tomorrow too. Almost forgot

Heat wave is over… we have reached nice warm summer weather… and our mild summers (sometimes it can be too mild. :P)

Finished with my second Hist 4A exam that means 2/3 of the summer quarter is over. 🙂 I still didn’t get my Phil 1 Midterm take home essay back, but I don’t think I really want to know what I got on that, since I didn’t really know what I was doing and didn’t really care about it at all. Hopefully the next essay assignment will be better, and it is worth 25% of my grade. Phil 1 takes a bunch of time everday, especially the homework, since I’m doing a paragraphy by paragraphy summary. Earlier in the quarter we were reading essays that were translated by wrote in the 1800’s, so the language they used was hard to understand. Now we are in the 1950’s, but still it is not that easy to get. On top of the fact, I do not get the lectures, they just make me feel more confused. Hist 4A seems to be easier, since the professor gives us a study sheet. The quiz is mostly vocabulary, the essay exam is where the professor gives out the questions the day before. 🙂

    Just 2 more weeks left.

Early this morning around 12:30 am (midnight) the server lost power due to a power outage. The server was not restarted until 9:30 am.

Edit: Power Outage for like a second again around 4 PM, but I came back up right away.

  • Heat Wave Day 9

    From the MercuryNews

Eight days of temperatures over 90 degrees caused the Bay Area’s power system to melt down Sunday, leaving 35,000 South Bay PG&E customers without electricity and sending more than a dozen Sunnyvale residents to a community shelter.

    Eight days and counting. 🙁

  • Hot Weather

These past two or three days have been extremely hot. It has surpassed 88 F inside the cooler half of my house. That is 31 C for the rest of the world. 😉 Yeah it was really unbareable. The last two days the evenings cool down enough for downstairs to be cool at night, but upstairs in my room was another story. 🙁 I looked at the temperatures in SLO, and they were way cooler their highs were in the mid-80s instead of mid-90s in San Jose. xD My computer also got quiet heated it reached 75 C, right now as I’m typing it is around 67 C. My computer rebooted by itself a few hours earlier, and then I went to the BIOS to check the CPU temperature which was reported at 70 C, and then a bit later the thing froze. xD AIYA Luckily I didn’t loose too much of my homework when it rebooted itself. Good thing Kile (my LaTeX editor) has a nice autosave feature. 🙂

Whoops… I was a little too fast with the delete key on my computer… and removed a little too much. I also lost a few days of posts. 🙁
